from a house on a rock
chambers and shelves
of memory and music
heart sound and earth sound
sing out and play
the scores of the forest
beneath and around
listening makes tones
rise from heart strings
on their own volition
resonance streams
from four hands
where trees and branches and leaves
become the notes and staffs
two pianos
facing and touching one another
merging in resonance
thirds, fourths, fifths
a stream through fields of our minds
and souls and bodies
knowing -
know when to grow
and when to diminish
and vanish
in silence
